LUNCH PARTY with the PARENTS
We had our Lunch Party last November 18 and we invited our parents to join us on this day to celebrate the birthdays of some of our toddlers, welcoming our new families in our class, and a surprised party for T. Madoka. “I thought you’re going to have a surprise presentation for the parents,” T. Madoka told T. Chili and I as the class gathered together and surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a gift from our supportive parents. She was REALLY SURPRISED!!!

１１月１８日に保護者の皆様をご招待して、お誕生日会、そして新入園児を迎えるパーティを行いました。また、ハミングバードの保護者の皆様＆子ども達から、まどか先生にご結婚おめでとう！のサプライズ☆ T.Bienとちり先生が「みんな集まれー」と声をかけた時、お父さん、お母さんに お歌やダンスの発表をするのかな？と思ったーと、まどか先生☆
子ども達からステキな花束とプレゼントにまどか先生びっくり！とってもステキなサプライズパーティーでした！

PLAY, PLAY, PLAYDOUGH
Our toddlers were all excited to make a homemade play dough with T. Chili. Everybody in the class was curious on how to do it. Good thing, T. Chili showed us how to make one. She also encouraged the toddlers to mix the ingredients, to stir the dough, to pour the food coloring on it, and gave one reminder to them before they started to roll and mold it: “Don’t put it in your mouth.” Let me share to you the recipe on how to make a homemade play dough. (Actually, you can find different recipes on how to do this thing on the net).
Ingredients:
flour
water (any amount)
a drop of oil
pinch of salt
food coloring (any color will do)
Procedure:
1. In a bowl, put some salt in the flour. Then, add the oil.
2. Using the cup, mix food coloring with water.
3. Pour the water in the flour and mix.
*This homemade playdough can be kept in the refrigerator for one week. Don’t forget to put it in the sealed container or ziplock bag.

小麦粉粘土遊び
初めてみんなで小麦粉粘土遊びをしました。初めてのアクティビティーに興味深々の子ども達。始まる前に、「食べ物ではないから口には入れないでね。」とお約束しました。
みんなで小麦粉に塩、サラダ油を入れてかき混ぜ、最後にお水と食品着色剤を入れ、もう一度たくさんこねて完成！！
みんなで作った小麦粉粘土を使って、ヘビさんを作ったり、コロコロお団子を作ったりとっても楽しい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。
みんなで作った小麦粉粘土のレシピを紹介しますね。
★インターネットでもいろいろな小麦粉粘土の作り方があります。ご家庭でもぜひ作ってみてくださいね。

小麦粉粘土の作り方
材料：・小麦粉 ・水（適度に） ・サラダ油（少し） ・塩（少し。痛みにくくするため）
・食品着色剤（何色でもＯＫ） ・ボール
１． ボールに小麦粉と塩を入れ、サラダ油を足してよく混ぜる。
２． コップに水と食品着色剤を混ぜる。
３． 小麦粉の入ったボールに２を入れ混ぜ、よい硬さになったら手でこねる。
★家庭で作った小麦粉粘土は、ケース、またはジップロックの袋に入れ、冷蔵庫で１週間保管可能です。
